Child Care WAGE$ provides incentives to early childhood professionals to increase teacher education levels and decrease turnover.
This service helps increase compensation, retention and education.
WAGE$ is administered by the Child Care Services Association.
In 1990, Child Care Services Association created the Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H.) Early Childhood® Project to address the issues of under-education, poor compensation and high turnover within the early childhood workforce. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® provides educational scholarships to early care professionals and those who perform specialized functions in the early care system.
