This service helps centers/homes adopt State-recommended health and safety policies and teach staff to implement them.

Two North Carolina-certified Child Care Health Consultants work to improve the health, safety and nutrition of children ages birth to five attending licensed child care centers and family child care homes in Lincoln & Gaston Counties.

This program is provided by the Health Departments serving each of the counties.

The Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse, Inc. is a citizen-based organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in all forms and providing intervention and treatment when children become victims.

The Coalition is dedicated to being the primary source of relief through a coordination of efforts when a child is victimized.  It provides a centralized, safe and child-friendly facility that will support the organization and successful prosecution of reported child abuse cases, while minimizing further trauma to the child victim and non-offending family members.
